Bill Legg taught choral and instrumental music for 8 years in Clarkston, Washington. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education with Choral and Instrumental endorsements from Washington State University in Pullman, Washington and his Master’s Degree from the American Band College of Sam Houston State University. Mr. Legg is excited to join the outstanding music faculty at Silver Creek High School and looks forward to teaching a band program full of students who are an integral part of the school and community culture. Mr. Legg is passionate about music education and what it can do in the lives of young people in the areas of self confidence, pride, and the development of complete individuals. Mr. Legg believes activities such as marching band and pep band are a valuable part of band education, connecting a diverse community of people to the music department and school. He also believes that outstanding concert and jazz ensembles help students excel through the understanding of historical musical contexts through classic and contemporary literature respectively. It is Mr. Legg’s goal that Silver Creek music students will learn the necessary skills that will enable them to take their musical passion with them into adulthood. Bill Legg has been married to his beautiful wife Beth for 14 years and has four young children.
